The Protection and Women’s Health Coordinator from the International Medical Corps conducted a field visit to South Darfur State to follow up on the implementation of activities under the Multi-Sectoral Assistance Project aimed at addressing the challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, and host communities in the state.
The visit targeted several IDP camps, including Kalma Camp, Otash Camp, and Al-Sereif Camp, where the coordinator reviewed the progress of field activities and ongoing programs. These activities include protection services, psychosocial support sessions, awareness campaigns on gender-based violence, and initiatives that support the empowerment of women and girls.
The visit also provided an opportunity to meet with community leaders and beneficiaries, listen to their feedback, and discuss the impact of the services provided, with the aim of strengthening program quality and ensuring an effective response to the needs of the targeted communities.
This visit reflects the organization’s commitment to continuous monitoring of project activities and ensuring that humanitarian services reach the most vulnerable populations in IDP camps and host communities in South Darfur.
